A Brief Bio
I received my doctorate in counseling psychology from Auburn University and completed a doctoral internship at Texas A&M University. I have worked in university counseling centers, rehabilitation hospitals, and in private practice settings. Currently, I am a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, the American Psychological Association, the Tennessee Psychological Association, the Eating Disorder Coalition of Tennessee, and the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute.
Prior to pursuing a career as a psychologist, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Toward the end of my undergraduate studies I developed a deep interest in psychology and decided to dedicate my energy to becoming a psychologist. I am fortunate to have found a profession I enjoy so much and that fits me so well. In addition to allowing me to connect with people everyday (something I value greatly) it provides me the opportunity to see people make changes that lead to greater happiness in their lives.
In my free time I love spending time with my wife and two children. I also enjoy reading, running, working in the yard and spending time with friends.
